Abdulrahman Bakindi is a Postgraduate Research Student at the University of Bath, affiliated with the Department of Architecture & Civil Engineering under the College of Engineering & Design. His work focuses on sustainability within the construction sector, particularly Scope 3 emissions and hybrid Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methods.
Education:
- MSc in Environmental and Energy Engineering, University of Sheffield (2019–2020)
- BSc in Civil Engineering, King Saud University (2012–2017)
Research Interests: Abdulrahman specializes in life cycle assessment of buildings, sustainable practices, and environmental impact analysis using SimaPro software and the Ecoinvent database. His PhD research develops a tailored hybrid LCA method for the UK construction sector.
Publications: He co-authored one peer-reviewed Review Article in Building and Environment (2025), focusing on hybrid LCA for buildings and construction materials.
Collaborations & Labs: He collaborates with the Centre for Regenerative Design & Engineering for a Net Positive World (RENEW), Centre for Climate Adaptation & Environment Research (CAER), and Centre for Sustainable Energy Systems (SES).
