Abdullah Karaman is a Professor at the Department of Geophysical Engineering, Istanbul Technical University (ITU). His research focuses on geophysical modeling, subsidence due to longwall mining, hydrothermal systems, and seismic data analysis. He leads projects on geothermal applications using particle swarm optimization and collaborates internationally. Dr. Karaman has supervised 8 ongoing theses and has authored/co-authored over 17 publications since 1997.
