Abdullah Gul is Associate Professor and Head of Mechanical Engineering at Abdullah Gul University. Since joining in 2016 as Assistant Professor, he has led research projects on multiscale material modeling, Fe-Mn steel behavior, machining analysis, aluminum alloy characterization, and hydrogen embrittlement, funded by TÜBİTAK and AGU BAP grants totaling over 355,000 TL. He completed a visiting professorship at Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research (2020).
His research focuses on mechanical behavior of high-manganese steels, multiscale modeling, material characterization, wearable exoskeletons, and hydrogen storage materials. Honors include the Best Presentation Award at the 2019 International Energy and Engineering Conference. He holds a Ph.D. from Koç University and a BS from Middle East Technical University, where he ranked second in his graduating class.
