Abdullah AKKAYA

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah AKKAYA is an Associate Professor at Ahi Evran University's Mucur Vocational School, Department of Chemistry and Chemical Processing Technologies. He earned his PhD in Physics from Erciyes University (2008-2013), following Master's degrees in Physics and Physics Education from Ondokuz Mayıs University (2003-2008), and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the same institution (1998-2003).

His academic journey includes serving as a Department Head at Ahi Evran University (2014-2017) and Kırşehir Ahi Evran University (2017-2020), before becoming an Associate Professor in 2024. Previously, he worked as a Doctoral Lecturer at the same institution from 2013 to 2024.

Dr. AKKAYA's primary research area is semiconductors, with a strong focus on thin film technology, materials science, and photocatalysis. His work spans the synthesis and characterization of various metal oxide thin films including ZnO, CuO, HfO2, and their composites.
