Abdulla Ibrahim

Abdulla Ibrahim serves as a Senior Researcher at the Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP) of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, where he leads the Future of Arms Control Project. He concurrently holds nonresident fellowships at the Stimson Center and adjunct fellow positions at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington DC.

His academic credentials include:

• PhD in International Relations and Political Science from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), Geneva
• MA from the Kroc Institute at the University of Notre Dame

With over twelve years of expertise, Dr. Ibrahim's research critically examines international security frameworks through arms control mechanisms, European and East Mediterranean security dynamics, and US-Russia foreign policy interplay. His work integrates conflict analysis with practical dialogue process design for armed groups consolidation, addressing evolving threats to global order through multilateral negotiation strategies. The Future of Arms Control Project under his leadership actively shapes policy responses to contemporary geopolitical fractures.

At CCDP, he directs research initiatives analyzing armed forces consolidation while facilitating high-level diplomatic dialogues on security challenges across the Middle East and Europe.
