Abdil Mughis Mudhoffir

Dr. Abdil Mughis Mudhoffir is a prominent political scientist and Visiting Fellow at the GIGA Institute for Asian Studies (Alexandar von Humboldt Foundation, 2025–present). He holds concurrent roles as Honorary Fellow (University of Melbourne, 2020–present) and Research Associate at LabSosio (Universitas Indonesia, since 2009). His research focuses on democratisation challenges, civil society dynamics, and authoritarian turn processes in Southeast Asia.
