Abbas Ali

Abbas Ali is a Professor in the Department of Management at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), where he was recognized as a Distinguished University Professor in 2012. He serves as Director of the School of International Management within IUP’s Eberly College of Business and Information Technology, with a focus on advancing teaching, research, and service.

Ali’s research spans business ethics, global competitiveness, and cross-cultural management, including a book project on business ethics in Islam. His recent publications reflect interdisciplinary collaborations, covering thermoelectric materials, public health, agricultural economics, and workplace safety.

Scientific awards include the Distinguished University Professor Award (2012), Distinguished Faculty Award for Research (1994, 2008), and the Fulbright Senior Scholar Award (1997). He has edited multiple journals and founded the International Journal of Commerce and Management.
