Aba Black, MD, MHS, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. She serves as Associate Program Director for Collaborative Excellence in the Yale Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency Program and as Vice Chair for Collaborative Excellence in General Internal Medicine, demonstrating her leadership in medical education and organizational culture.

She employs qualitative and mixed-methods approaches to understand systemic barriers and promote equitable training environments.
Her recent publications examine perspectives on ACGME diversity standards, pilot web-based structural competency curricula, and the role of race and ethnicity in residency training. These studies reflect a consistent theme of advancing equity and inclusion in graduate medical education through research, innovation, and leadership.
