Aaron Van Allen is an Associate Professor of Government at Liberty University's Helms School of Government. Prior to academia, he served in the U.S. Congress for ten years, including roles as Lynchburg District Representative and Service Academy Coordinator for Rep. Benjamin L. Cline (VA-6) and as a key aide to Rep. Bob Goodlatte. His work focused on constituent services, legislative policy research in economics, education, energy, and defense, and managing military service academy nominations.

- M.A. in Public Policy, Liberty University
- B.A. in Government with a minor in Public Service, Hampden-Sydney College
Research interests span public policy development, constitutional governance, and international political systems. He teaches courses in constitutional government, political history, economic development, and post-communist politics.
Professional affiliations include the Rotary Club of Lynchburg, Morning Rotaract Club, and membership in the Paul Harris Society, PolioPlus Society, and Bequest Society. He also serves on the Boonsboro Country Club's board.
