Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aziz Coskun serves at Bitlis Eren University's Faculty of Fine Arts within the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema. Appointed Associate Professor in 2025, he previously held roles as Assistant Professor (2022-2025) and Instructor (2019-2022), while currently acting as Department Head.
His academic credentials include:
- Licence in Journalism from Erciyes University (2008-2012)
- Master's degree in Journalism from Atatürk University (2013-2016)
- Doctorate from Atatürk University (2017-2021)
Dr. Coskun specializes in alternative media ecosystems and the sociological intersections of media, cinema, and consumption patterns. His research critically examines non-mainstream media production, audience reception theories, and cultural commodification within contemporary Turkish society, with emphasis on how digital platforms reshape traditional media consumption.
He actively contributes to institutional governance through multiple leadership roles including Faculty Board membership, Quality Commission oversight, and coordination of Bologna/ECTS implementation processes across the Faculty of Fine Arts.
