AZA Allsop

AZA Allsop is an Assistant Professor at Yale University's Department of Psychiatry and Director of the Center for Collective Healing at Howard University. Trained in Biology, Philosophy, Jazz Studies (North Carolina Central University), MD (Harvard), PhD (MIT), and Emerson Scholar (Berklee), he integrates neuroscience, psychiatry, and music to advance mental health treatments through social cognition, mindfulness, and psychedelics.

• Research Focus: Neural mechanisms of social behavior, music therapy for anxiety/depression, psychedelic neuroplasticity, community-driven psychiatric models.
