ALBERTO LOZANO COURTIER

Alberto Lozano Courtier is a Researcher at the University of Santiago de Compostela, affiliated with the Department of Applied Economics within the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences. His research focuses on History and Economic Institutions, particularly naval and industrial history in Galicia. He was part of the GESPIC group (Group of Business and Sectoral History Studies: Fishing, Industry and Commerce).

Education: PhD in Applied Economics from the University of Santiago de Compostela (1997), with the thesis 'Modern military naval construction in Galicia and the arsenal of Ferrol: 1880-1936' under the supervision of Dr. Xán Carmona Badía.

Research interests include the historical analysis of naval infrastructure, economic institutions, and industrial development in Galicia during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
