معرفی
A.K. Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Thermal and Fluid Engineering at the University of Twente, Netherlands. His research focuses on thermal transport, reaction phenomena, and their application to solar fuel generation, high-temperature energy storage, and carbon capture systems. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida (2013), funded by the US Department of Energy, and completed postdoctoral fellowships at DLR (Germany), Colorado School of Mines (USA), and Georgia Institute of Technology (USA).
Education:
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, University of Florida, Gainesville, USA (2013)
Research Highlights: Specializes in multi-physics modeling for solar thermochemical fuel production, latent heat thermal energy storage systems, and high-efficiency concentrated solar power (CSP) technologies. His work aligns with projects funded by the US Department of Energy, EU-Horizon 2020, and collaborations with institutions like NREL and DLR.
Awards:
- Marshall Plan Foundation Fellowship (Ph.D. exchange at FHV Austria)
- DAAD-DLR Postdoctoral Fellowship (DLR Institute of Solar Research)
Collaborations: Led prototype development for CSP power blocks (Georgia Tech) and thermal energy storage systems (Colorado School of Mines). Active in interdisciplinary projects addressing energy-water nexus and micro combined heat and power systems.
