Prof. A.C. den Heijer is a Professor of Public Real Estate at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), affiliated with the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment and the Department of Management in the Built Environment. Her research focuses on optimizing decision-making processes for public real estate portfolios, particularly in universities, hospitals, schools, and city halls. She leads the TU Delft Campus Research Team, a multidisciplinary network of researchers addressing challenges in managing iconic and heritage buildings while promoting sustainability and societal impact.
Her expertise in university campus planning is internationally recognized, supported by her dissertation Managing the University Campus (2011).
