A. Zwergal

Prof. A. Zwergal is a Professor and Head of the Neurological Outpatient Clinic at LMU Hospital, Munich. He also leads the German Dizziness and Balance Center (DSGZ). His clinical expertise focuses on dizziness, balance disorders, gait disturbances, oculomotor disorders, and spatial orientation pathologies. His research investigates vestibular disorders, therapeutic interventions (medications, physical therapy, neuromodulation), and multimodal imaging techniques (PET, MRI) to study sensorimotor brain networks. He applies AI to clinical datasets like VOG, posturography, and gait analysis.

Prof. Zwergal holds specialist qualifications in neurology and neurological intensive care. His academic roles include directing the Neurology Winter School and mentoring doctoral theses. Collaborations involve research networks like the Neurological Study Center and Early Clinical Trial Unit (ECTU).
