Prof. Dr. A. Arzu Ruacan is a distinguished faculty member at Koç University School of Medicine and Hacettepe University School of Medicine, specializing in Medical Pathology. Currently serving as Term 3 Coordinator (since 2014) and Chair of the Self-Assessment Committee (since 2015) at Koç University, she has held multiple leadership roles including Head of Medical Pathology Department at Hacettepe (2004-2009) and President of the Federation of Pathology Societies (2008-2010).

Her clinical expertise spans head and neck pathology, hematopathology, and viral oncogenesis, with 136 publications (93 international, 43 national). She leads the Medical Pathology Qualification Board of the Federation of Pathology Societies since 2018 and participates in standard-setting commissions for the Turkish Ministry of Health.
