Ülo Mander

Ülo Mander is a Professor of Physical Geography and Landscape Ecology at the Department of Geography, Institute of Ecology and Earth Sciences, University of Tartu, Estonia. He has held this position since 2007 and also serves as Head of the Department.

His research spans

• Nutrient cycling in agricultural watersheds
• Constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment
• Landscape biogeochemistry
• Greenhouse gas fluxes from wetlands

Prof. Mander has been actively involved in international collaborations, including 10 EU-funded Framework Program projects and two INTERREG projects. He served as lead author for the 2013 Supplement to the 2006 IPCC Guidelines on Wetlands and has been a member of editorial boards for 7 international journals since 1994.
