Önder ALBAYRAK is a Lecturer at Kafkas University's Atatürk Health Services Vocational School, Department of Medical Services and Techniques, where he has been employed full-time since 2011. His academic foundation includes a PhD in Chemistry (2021) and dual Master's degrees in Chemistry (2008) and History (2014) from Kafkas University, complemented by a Bachelor's in Chemistry from Atatürk University.
His research centers on organic and medicinal chemistry, with emphasis on synthesizing heterocyclic compounds (particularly triazole derivatives), computational modeling of molecular properties, and evaluating biological activities. Key interests include spectroscopic analysis, quantum chemical calculations, and structure-activity relationships in antimicrobial and antioxidant agents.
Publications predominantly explore synthetic chemistry and computational methods, with recurring themes of triazole-based molecule design, biological evaluation, and theoretical property analysis. His work integrates experimental synthesis with quantum mechanical studies to advance pharmaceutical and material science applications.
He leads an ongoing research project (2023–2025) focused on synthesizing novel Mannich bases containing triazolone rings and assessing their biological properties, funded by Higher Education Institutions. Collaborative work is extensive, with 33 documented collaborators including Haydar Yüksek (24 joint studies) and Muzaffer Alkan (12 studies).
Teaching responsibilities span chemistry, information technology, and quality management courses at undergraduate levels, including Analytical Chemistry, Laboratory Chemistry, and Basic Computer Technologies.
