Éva Rozália Hölzle

Dr. Éva Rozália Hölzle is Research Associate and Lecturer in Social Anthropology at Bielefeld University, coordinating the Shaping Asia network. She holds dual sociology/anthropology degrees from Bielefeld University and Eötvös Loránd University. Her Fritz Thyssen Foundation-funded project 'Cultivating Ethics Across Generations' examines translocal kin relations in Bangladesh and Northeast India.

Research expertise includes:

• Intergenerational kinship and moral transformations
• Land dispossession and indigenous rights conflicts
• Anthropological studies of violence and survival
• South Asian borderland communities

Publications explore belonging/becoming dynamics and land struggles. Fieldwork spans 30+ months in Bangladesh and India. She co-leads the DFG project 'Shaping Asia: Knowledge Production and Circulation' and received ICAS-MP fellowship for political anthropology research in India.
