Élise Filotas

Dr. Élise Filotas is Professor in the Department of Science and Technology at Université du Québec's TÉLUQ, and affiliated researcher with the Center for Forest Research and Quebec Center for Biodiversity Science. Her research applies complex systems science to forest ecosystems across multiple scales.

Her work develops quantitative models examining biodiversity patterns across spatial, temporal and organizational scales in response to landscape transformations. Research focuses on forest management impacts on habitat connectivity, climate change effects on natural disturbances, and optimization strategies for multiple ecosystem services.
