Tyler Galloway is a Professor and the Joyce C. Hall Chair of Graphic Design at the Kansas City Art Institute. He has also taught at the University of Kansas.

• BFA from Missouri State University
• MGD from North Carolina State University

His research focuses on design for social change, particularly through visual identity projects like Stand Up KC, advocating for low-wage workers. His work has been recognized in the Graphis Poster Annual and Communication Arts magazine.

He actively engages in the design educators’ community with national and international presentations. Outside academia, he enjoys cycling, punk rock, vegan cookies, and family life.
