Clinical Professor
Prof John Achermann is a Clinical Professor of Paediatric Endocrinology at the Genetics & Genomic Medicine Department , University College London (UCL), with an active role at the UCL GOS Institute of Child Health since 2023. His career spans clinical and research expertise in adrenal and sex development , genetic mechanisms of disease , and nuclear receptor biology , highlighted by over 200 publications and an h-index of 67. Recent work includes single-cell analyses of fetal gonads , exome sequencing for DSD/POI , and NR5A1/SRY regulatory mechanisms .
