Aminu K Bello is a Professor of Medicine and Consultant Nephrologist at the University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. His work focuses on global kidney health, health disparities, and chronic kidney disease (CKD) prevention in Indigenous, rural, and low-income populations. He leads the Kidney Check program through Can-SOLVE CKD and chairs the International Society of Nephrology's Global Kidney Health Atlas (ISN-GKHA), addressing inequities in kidney care infrastructure worldwide.
