Rita J. Malenczyk is a Professor of English and Director of the Writing Center at Eastern Connecticut State University. She holds a MA from Washington University in St. Louis and a PhD from New York University. Her research focuses on writing program administration, writing center studies, and the rhetoric of crime and crime fiction. She has directed Eastern's writing program since 1994 and previously served as president of the national Council of Writing Program Administrators.
