Prof. Matt Pritchard is a Professor in Earth & Atmospheric Sciences at Cornell University, based at Snee Hall. His research focuses on volcanology, geodesy, and remote sensing, with a particular emphasis on using satellite data to monitor volcanic activity, deformation, and glacial interactions. He leads studies on global volcanic systems, including Indonesia's Semeru and Raung volcanoes, Chile's Cordón Caulle, and Bolivia's Uturuncu, applying techniques like InSAR, SAR, and thermal imaging.
