Dr. Roshanthi Dias is a Lecturer in Finance and Deputy Chair of the Accounting, Economics, and Finance department at Swinburne University of Technology's School of Business, Law and Entrepreneurship. She holds a PhD in Finance (2008 Chancellor's Award recipient), an MBA, and a BSc from the London School of Economics. Her research focuses on bank risk-taking, capital regulation, ESG integration, and credit default swaps. She has received multiple awards including the 2024 Adobe Innovation Grant and 2022 Teaching Excellence Award. Education: PhD in Finance, Swinburne University of Technology MBA (Finance), Swinburne University of Technology BSc Banking and Finance, University of London (LSE) Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching, Swinburne Research Interests: Her work examines how capital regulations influence bank risk-taking, the role of ESG in corporate governance, and the impact of financial innovations like CDS on systemic risk. Recent studies explore female representation on environmental committees and its link to stock liquidity.
