Associate Professor
Julie Paquette is an Associate Professor in the Department of Logistics and Operations Management at HEC Montréal. She holds a Ph.D. in administration, M.Sc. in logistics, and B.A.A. in quantitative methods from HEC Montréal. Her research focuses on Service Operations Management, Transportation, E-commerce Logistics, and Supply Chain Optimization in nonprofit/humanitarian contexts. She actively supervises Master's theses and projects, with 7 completed theses and 22+ supervised projects in the last five years. Dr. Paquette is the Pedagogical Coordinator for the Operations and Supply Chain Management Specialization in HEC Montréal's M.Sc. program and a member of the executive committee at CIRRELT (Interuniversity Research Centre on Enterprise Networks, Logistics, and Transportation). Her teaching includes courses like OPER 20525 (Logistics) and OPER 20505 (Service Operations Management). Research interests emphasize optimizing supply chains for humanitarian organizations and sustainable urban transport. Recent work addresses e-commerce logistics challenges and humanitarian logistics in East Africa. She has published in journals like INFOR and Omega, and contributed chapters on humanitarian supply chains. Supervision activities span logistics optimization in healthcare, agro-food industries, and e-commerce platforms.
