Grady Miller is an ENVU Distinguished Professor of Sustainability & Extension Specialist in Turfgrass Management at North Carolina State University's Department of Crop & Soil Sciences within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from Auburn University and has over 20 years of experience in turfgrass research, education, and extension. His work focuses on improving turfgrass quality through integrated management practices, irrigation optimization, and plant breeding for drought and shade tolerance. Research Interests: Turfgrass microbiology and soil health Climate-resilient turfgrass cultivar development Irrigation efficiency and water resource management Athletic field and golf course maintenance Publications Highlight: Recent work emphasizes microbial community responses to environmental stressors and advancements in bermudagrass/zoysiagrass breeding programs.
