Senior Lecturer
Ceri Diss is a Senior Lecturer in Biomechanics at the University of Roehampton, School of Life and Health Sciences, where she also serves as Honorary Research Fellow. She is BASES Accredited and has held leadership roles such as Convener of the MSc in Biomechanics and Secretary of Biomechanics at BASES (2001-2004). Her professional affiliations include the University of Wales Institute Cardiff Biomechanics Research Group, International Society of Biomechanics in Sport, and Sports Engineering. Her consultancy work spans footwear analysis, gait workshops, and training program development for athletes ranging from recreational runners to international professionals. Notable scientific achievements include her Honorary Research Fellow designation, BASES accreditation, and media features in The Times , Daily Mail , and BBC programming. Her publications cover diverse topics from judo technique training to heat acclimation effects on muscle performance.
