He currently supervises: Rahul Srivastava (PhD): Modeling resident behavior for clean energy interventions in sub-Saharan African communities Tyllianakis secured major funding as Co-Investigator and WP6 lead for the £3.6 million UKRI Ayrton Challenge Programme project "Circular Microgrids: Circular Economy Pathways for Renewable Microgrids in Africa" (CEPREC, 2025-2027), allocating £1 million to DMU. This builds on prior Horizon 2020 experience with CONSOLE and DRYvER projects at the University of Leeds. He contributes to the Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development (IESD), participating in interdisciplinary teams addressing global sustainability challenges through integrated economic-environmental research approaches.
