Senior Lecturer
Dr. Rasha Kassem is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at Aston University's Aston Business School, leading the Fraud Research Group (FRG). She holds a PhD in Audit & Fraud from Loughborough University and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Her research focuses on fraud, audit, governance, and pedagogy across sectors. She has published over 45 works and advises organizations like Cifas and the UK Cabinet Office. She emphasizes fraud's impact on mental health and sustainability initiatives. Her recent projects include charity fraud, pandemic-era fraud risks, and insider fraud in policing.
