Associate Professor
Bartosz Wiland is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of English, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland, where he is affiliated with the Department of English-Polish Comparative Linguistics. He is actively engaged in research and teaching in theoretical linguistics, with a specialization in comparative syntax and morphology of Slavic languages and nanosyntax. He investigates phenomena such as prefix stacking, remnant movement, complementizer syncretism, and the syntax-semantics interface, contributing to theoretical debates on lexicalization and functional hierarchy. His teaching portfolio includes graduate and undergraduate courses in generative linguistics, syntax, morphology, and academic writing. The recent publications reflect a sustained focus on nanosyntax and Slavic linguistic structures, with recurring themes including syntactic movement, morphological decomposition, and cross-linguistic comparison.
