Joachim Rosenthal is a Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Zurich's Department of Mathematics, leading the Applied Algebra Group. His research integrates coding theory, cryptography, and algebraic geometry with applications in communications and security systems. His primary research explores algebraic coding theory including convolutional codes, subspace codes, and post-quantum cryptography.
