Dr. Arash Arami-Niya is a Senior Lecturer at Curtin University's Western Australian School of Mines (WASM), specializing in Minerals, Energy, and Chemical Engineering. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Queensland (2017), focusing on natural gas purification. Previously, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow under Prof. Eric May at The University of Western Australia. His research expertise includes adsorption technologies, gas separation, thermophysical properties, helium extraction, hydrogen production, and novel adsorbent synthesis (e.g., structured adsorbents, carbons, zeolites, MOFs). He has published 60+ papers with 4,000+ citations (h-index 27) and collaborates actively with industry on gas processing technologies. Dr. Arami-Niya supervises PhD/postgraduate students at Curtin and UWA, teaching Chemical Engineering courses. His students hold prominent roles in academia and industry globally. Research interests span adsorption science, energy storage, carbon capture, and materials science. Key projects include helium recovery from natural gas, hydrogen storage materials, and sustainable adsorbent design.
