Jiacheng Li is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the York Structural Biology Laboratory and Department of Chemistry , University of York, collaborating with Prof. Gideon Grogan and Dr. Will Unsworth . His research bridges organic chemistry and structural biology , focusing on catalytic methods for green chemistry and pharmaceutical synthesis . Education: DPhil in Organic Chemistry, Monash University (2023) Research Interests center on photoredox catalysis and EDA complex reactions under LED light, previously exploring blue and UVA LED-driven cross-coupling and organocatalytic transformations . Currently, he investigates Unspecific Peroxygenases (UPOs) for scalable reactions in small molecular complexes and pharmaceutical targets , emphasizing green chemistry and sustainable synthesis . The four recent articles highlight his expertise in LED-mediated catalysis , spanning Minisci-type alkylation , α-aminoalkylation , and C-C bond formation , with applications in pharmaceutical synthesis and environmentally friendly organic reactions . Key methodologies include Hantzsch esters , photoredox catalysts , and UPOs-based enzymatic systems .
