Dr. Nathanail Kortsalioudakis serves as Laboratory Teaching Staff (EDIP) at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the Technical University of Crete (TUC). He holds a PhD in Physics from TUC, with prior academic roles including Teaching Assistant at the Technical Education Institute (TEI) of Crete. His expertise bridges theoretical and applied physics, focusing on laser systems, optoelectronics, and material interactions. Academic Background: BS in Physics (University of Crete, 1997), M.Sc. in Applied Physics and Laser Technology (TUC, 2000), PhD in Laser-Matter Interaction (TUC, 2006). Research interests include laser physics fundamentals (nonlinear optics, harmonic generation) and applications (laser drilling in biomaterials, optoelectronic device design). He actively participates in national and EU-funded research projects, contributing to advancements in spectroscopic imaging and laser-beam engineering. Teaching focuses on laboratory instruction in core physics and electronics at TUC and TEI, including Optoelectronics, Electronics, and Physics lab modules. He oversees the Electronics Laboratory (e-Lab) and contributes to curriculum development in experimental physics. Publications span laser-material interactions, imaging systems, and environmental radiometry, reflecting his interdisciplinary approach to photonics and applied engineering. His work bridges fundamental research with practical solutions in energy-efficient materials and precision instrumentation.
