Dr. Gavin McArdle is an Associate Professor at the University College Dublin (UCD) School of Computer Science, specializing in spatial data analysis and smart cities. He holds academic affiliations with the National Centre for Geocomputation (Maynooth University) and CeADAR (Data Analytics Centre). His research focuses on urban dynamics, geovisual analytics, smart transportation, and remote sensing applications. He has received a College of Science Teaching Excellence Award for his contributions to education. McArdle earned his BSc, PhD, and a Prof Dip in University Teaching & Learning from UCD.
