Yılmaz Aslan is a Professor and Head of the Department of Urology at Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine. He obtained his MD from Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine in 1999 and completed his urology residency at Ankara Numune Education and Research Hospital in 2005. He holds expertise in urology, urooncology, endourology, andrology, and BPH management. His career includes international collaborations, including a fellowship at Jikei University in Japan and a decade of surgical initiatives across Balkans, Africa, and Central Asia under the Turkish Ministry of Health. His work emphasizes surgical innovation, antibiotic prophylaxis in transurethral procedures, and interdisciplinary approaches to complex cases. Publications & Awards: Over 60 international indexed articles, 40 national publications, and 7 awards. His top studies address adrenal surgery techniques, Fournier gangrene prognosis, and comparative outcomes between robotic and laparoscopic procedures. Administration & Grants: Current Head of Urology since 2022. Active in professional associations and has supervised numerous multicenter studies. Research interests include adrenal incidentalomas, prostate cancer detection post-prostatectomy, and sexual function post-surgery rehabilitation.
