Bent Ole Gram Mortensen is a Professor of Public Law in the Department of Law at the University of Southern Denmark, Faculty of Social Sciences. He is an active academic with extensive research, teaching, and public engagement, particularly in energy, environmental, and marketing law. His work bridges legal scholarship with policy and public discourse. His research interests include: Energy and supply law (district heating, electricity, renewables) Greenlandic resource and environmental law Environmental law related to energy use Marketing law, including greenwashing and climate labeling Data protection and cybersecurity in the energy sector Standardization and public procurement His recent articles reflect a strong focus on climate law, energy regulation, data protection, and consumer rights in the energy market. Themes include legal responses to greenwashing, cybersecurity in energy systems, utility bankruptcies, and climate legislation. His work combines public law with environmental and economic regulation, emphasizing accountability, sustainability, and consumer protection.
