Professor Andrzej Jajszczyk serves at AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow and as President of the Krakow Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2015-present). He is a current member of the European Research Council's Scientific Council since 2017 and previously served as founding Director of Poland's National Science Centre (2011-2015). Education Graduate of Poznan University of Technology Research Expertise Internationally recognized for pioneering work in telecommunications switching systems , Professor Jajszczyk's research spans photonic switching architectures, flow-aware networking for IP networks, and reliability assurance in optical networks. His innovations in automatic control planes for next-generation optical infrastructure have significantly influenced modern telecommunications standards and protocols. Professional Leadership As former IEEE Communications Society Director for Europe/Middle East/Africa (2006-2007, 2016-present), founding Editor of IEEE Global Communications, and Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Communications Magazine, he has shaped global communications research. His consultancy spans government agencies and industry across 8 countries including China, India, and the USA.
