Dr. Carlisle George is an Associate Professor in Computing Science at Middlesex University's Faculty of Science and Technology, specializing in the intersection of technology and law. With dual expertise as a computer scientist and barrister (called to Lincoln's Inn and the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court), he chairs the Computer Science Research Ethics Committee and leads the ALERT research group focused on Aspects of Law and Ethics Related to Technology. Recent work addresses explainability requirements under the EU AI Act and forensic readiness frameworks for medical networks. Scientific contributions include Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and Chartered Manager (CMgr MCMI) recognition. He supervises PhD students in areas like mHealth privacy frameworks , AI explainability , and Digital Forensics readiness while serving on editorial boards and organizing international workshops on Health IT ethics.
