Lecturer
Dr. Ho Hui Ping is a Lecturer at Monash University Malaysia, School of Business, where she teaches courses in Organisational Behaviour and Change, International Business Theory & Practice, and International Business Strategy. She holds a PhD in Management with a specialization in women's entrepreneurship and is actively involved in research related to gender, entrepreneurship, sustainable livelihoods, and workplace wellbeing. She employs qualitative methodologies such as thematic analysis and in-depth interviewing to explore complex social and organizational phenomena. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to gender equality, decent work, and economic growth. Her recent publications (2022–2025) reflect a consistent focus on gender and entrepreneurship, with increasing attention to technology adoption, mentorship, and sustainable performance. Articles and book chapters examine topics such as gender disparities in tech entrepreneurship, motivation of older female salespeople, and psychological capabilities in financial services. These works appear in journals like Journal of Financial Services Marketing and International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management , as well as in the Palgrave Handbook of Global Social Problems . Scientific Awards: Best Full Paper Award (Entrepreneurship Track), British Academy of Management, 2016 School of Business Research Seed Grant, Monash University Malaysia, 2024 Dr. Ho is accepting PhD students and serves as a Primary Chief Investigator on research projects related to women entrepreneurs in Malaysia, including evaluating mentorship programs for B40 women. She has received research funding and contributes to academic service through peer review for journals such as Decision Sciences Journal of Innovative Education and Asian Journal of Technology Innovation . She is also an active member of the Academy of Management and participates in industry collaborations like the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce. She is involved in two active research projects for 2025–2026: one evaluating the effectiveness of mentorship and entrepreneurship programs for underprivileged women, and another analyzing sustainability impacts in corporate initiatives. Her lab or research team appears to be collaborative, involving colleagues from Monash and external partners.
