Amina Easat-Daas is a Senior Lecturer in Politics at De Montfort University , specializing in Islamophobia studies through intersections with gender, decolonial approaches, and European politics. She leads modules on political research methods and decolonizing politics while serving as Institute Head of Research Students for the Institute of Global Challenges and Cultures. PhD in Politics from Aston University MA in Modern Languages and Humanities BA in Psychology and Modern Languages from University of Leicester Her research explores gendered Islamophobia and Muslim political participation across France, Belgium, and UK. Key outputs include the 2024 Palgrave Handbook of Gendered Islamophobia and 2020 monograph on Muslim women's political engagement in France and Belgium. Dr Easat-Daas has advised institutions like the European Parliament and Council of Europe while being a media commentator on Muslim affairs. She contributes to the Muslims in Britain Research Network and British Association of Islamic Studies , with ORCID 0000-0002-4123-7667.
