Dr. Denise Donohue, Ed.D. is an Adjunct Professor of Education at Ave Maria University and a full-time Senior Fellow at The Cardinal Newman Society. With 30 years in Catholic education, she specializes in safeguarding faith integrity through curricular standards development. She holds a B.A. in Psychology (University of West Florida), M.C.S.L. in Catholic Leadership (University of Dallas), and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership (Nova Southeastern University). Her research focuses on creating policy frameworks for Catholic schools, including the Standards for Christian Anthropology and Catholic Curriculum Standards . She evaluates schools through the Newman Guide and develops tools to measure institutional fidelity to Church teachings. Recent work addresses modern challenges like Common Core alignment, digital education ethics, and secular curriculum conflicts. Dr. Donohue advises diocesan leaders on maintaining Catholic identity in mission statements, faculty employment policies, and distance learning programs. She serves on the National Association of Private Catholic and Independent Schools board and consults on school leadership training. Her publications emphasize integrating Church doctrine into every aspect of education from character development to AP course content.
