Associate Professor
Dr. Erin Mazerolle is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and Computer Science at St. Francis Xavier University. Her research focuses on interdisciplinary neuroscience, brain health literacy, translational neuroimaging, and improving reproducibility in functional brain imaging. She leads the Mazerolle Lab, which collaborates with diverse fields including education, computer science, and public health. Her work includes co-creating public education tools on vascular cognitive impairment, brain health maintenance, and the impact of housing instability. She has secured grants from CIHR, AtlanticOER, and MITACS for projects like developing open educational resources and evaluating concussion symptom reporting in student athletes. Recent lab activities involve summer research awards for students, postdoctoral collaborations, and projects on SuperAgers in the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging. Dr. Mazerolle also emphasizes STEM outreach, including initiatives like the Antigonish Brain Bee and mentorship for youth in science.
