Dr. Mills has received numerous professional recognitions including being named a Super Doctor in Southern California (2024-2025), Top Doctor by Los Angeles Magazine (2019-2025), and recognition as an LGBTQ+ Champion. He is actively involved in mentoring through the Urology Care Foundation, notably mentoring Dr. Denise Asafu-Adjei on disparities in men's health access. As a skilled surgeon, Dr. Mills has performed thousands of penile implants, vasectomy reversals, varicocelectomies, and complex Peyronie's disease surgeries. He is internationally recognized as a thought leader and proctors surgeons globally in microsurgery and penile implant procedures. His clinical work extends to fertility preservation in UCLA's gender health program and oncology programs, with special interest in restoring fertility and sexuality for men with spinal cord injuries.
