Overview Andrew B. Wolf is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Global Labor and Work at Cornell University’s School of Industrial & Labor Relations (ILR). His research focuses on the gig economy, immigrant labor, and regulatory responses to emerging labor market forms. Previously, he was a Research Fellow at Rutgers University’s Workplace Justice Lab. He holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2021) and a B.S. from Cornell ILR (2010). (Honors) in ILR with Economics, Cornell University (2010) Research Interests Wolf’s work examines labor movements, gig economy dynamics, immigration, and municipal governance. His ethnographic studies of immigrant Workers’ Centers and app-based delivery workers in NYC have influenced policy, including NYC’s gig-worker protections. His research bridges academic and public sociology, with op-eds in Jacobin , Crain’s New York , and testimony before the NYC Council.
