Associate Professor
Almir Marić is an Associate Professor at the Department of Telecommunications, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo. He earned his Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degrees in Telecommunication Engineering from the same university in 2010, 2013, and 2020, respectively. His academic activities focus on wireless communication channels and network modeling. Bachelor's in Telecommunication Engineering (2010) Master's in Telecommunication Engineering (2013) PhD in Telecommunication Engineering (2020) Marić's research explores physical channel modeling , communication channel characterization , and fading channel analysis . He develops geometric-based stochastic channel models and works on network simulators for emerging technologies like 5G. His recent work integrates quantum cryptography into modern communication frameworks. His publications reveal a focus on digital communication , network security , and signal processing . Key topics include TWDP fading models , Nakagami-m distribution , and SDN programmability . Collaborative efforts with researchers like P. Njemcevic and E. Kaljic appear across multiple domains. Best Paper Award at MCSS'17 conference Marić teaches courses on Mobile Communications , RF Circuit Design , and Teletraffic Theory , contributing to both theoretical and practical aspects of telecommunications education.
