Eva Knop is a Principle Investigator leading the Biodiversity-Environment Interactions team at Agroscope and affiliated with the Department of Evolutionary Biology and Environmental Studies at the University of Zurich. Role: Principle Investigator Institution: University of Zurich (departmental affiliation), Agroscope (research team leadership) Her research focuses on: Testing principles and mechanisms that structure biodiversity, species interactions, and ecosystem functioning at local to global scales. Investigating how land use intensity, climate change, and human-induced global change affect insect populations, plant-pollinator interactions, and alpine grassland communities. Developing conservation strategies for insect diversity and studying indirect impacts of artificial light on ecological networks. She supervises current PhD students (Julia Murer, Marco Barandun, Susanna Hempel, Vincent Grognuz) and has mentored numerous past students across MSc, PhD, and BSc levels. Her team contributes to large-scale projects like: INSECT – a research initiative on insect decline.
