Andrea Fradeani is a Tenured Associate Professor of Business Economics at the Department of Economics and Law, University of Macerata. His academic career spans over two decades with significant contributions to accounting research, particularly in digital reporting standards and international frameworks. Fradeani serves on the editorial committees of SOCIETÉTÁ E CONTRATTI, BILANCIO E REVISIONE (since 2013) and The International Journal of Digital Accounting Research (since 2011). Fradeani's research focuses on national and international accounting standards, digital accounting systems, sustainability reporting, and corporate governance. His expertise extends to XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), ESEF (European Single Electronic Format), and third sector accounting. He has led multiple research projects examining financial reporting quality under IFRS, implementation of mandatory IFRS disclosures, XBRL applications in public administration, and waste management systems. His scholarly work bridges theoretical accounting frameworks with practical business applications, particularly in the digital transformation of financial reporting. Analysis of Fradeani's recent publications reveals a consistent focus on the intersection of traditional accounting practices and digital innovation. His research demonstrates how emerging technologies like XBRL are transforming financial reporting, with particular attention to regulatory compliance, data standardization, and enhanced transparency.
